The end caps are held on with bolts from the inside of the grips. If you remove the grips you can tighten them up, when I did mine I put a larger washer and locktite on the bolt and now mine do not spin. It may take a few minutes to get the grips on,and off but it can be done. On mine the foam was gone so I replaced it with new foam from a 10 speed bike. Have fun , love that Thumper
